History
The business of surveyorsinfrance.com was originally formed by a specialist Chartered Building Surveyor who is bi-lingual and is a professionally qualified member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
Since its creation, surveyorsinfrance.com has inspected and reported on literally millions of Euros worth of property located all over France.
In 2007 Services for Surveyors Ltd (SFS) took over the co-ordination of the administration of the business, managing the website, enquiries, fee proposals, surveyors' diary planning and secretarial back-up.
However the philosophy of the founder Chartered Building Surveyor Martin Rushton remains and all inspection and report writing work is undertaken by a specialist RICS designated Chartered Building Surveyor.
At surveyorsinfrance.com we appreciate that for many of our clients the acquisition of a French property is the fulfillment of a dream and the aim of surveyorsinfrance.com is to help our clients to make their dreams come true, but with their eyes completely open.

About the founder Chartered Building Surveyor of surveyorsinfrance.com
Martin Rushton is a Chartered Building Surveyor who has over twenty seven years of architectural design and building surveying industry experience.
At the start of his career he was offered a place to study for the Diploma in Architecture at the world famous Architectural Association in London. He went on to study the specialist Diploma in Building Surveying at the College of Estate Management, Reading University, subsequently becoming a corporate Chartered Building Surveyor member of the RICS.
For the first twelve years of his career he worked exclusively in the UK during which period his clients included private indivuduals, banks, major corporations and the British Government.
Over the years his experience has encompassed projects across a broad spectrum such as domestic extensions and alterations, prestige dwellings for individuals, small (4-5 unit) and vast (multi-acre/hectare) housing estates, prestige mansions, the renovation of high rise domestic and commercial buildings, medical centres, private hospitals, aviation control towers and much more, including a number of Conservation Award nominations.
He has been a member of the College of Estate Management, Reading University DTAC (Economics), has been contacted by BBC Radio 2 and contributed to/written for books and magazines on the subject of living, working and renovating property in France.
He first undertook building surveying and architectural design work in France back in 1992.
In recognition of the increasing demand for Building Surveying in France, Martin moved permanently to the country (early 2003), became a resident and registered as a business in France.
He is a corporate member of the RICS (Reg No: 0091222) and is entitled to use the specialist designation 'Chartered Building Surveyor'.
He is registered in France (SIREN No. 449 766 914, Code APE: 742C Ing nierie, tudes techniques).
